Amazon Free Book Download: Lady in the Mist

Looks like another mystery novel!

Download “Lady In The Mist” to your PC or Kindle for FREE!

Here is the plot synopsis: By virtue of her profession as a midwife, Tabitha Eckles is the keeper of many secrets: the names of fathers of illegitimate children, the level of love and harmony within many a marriage, and now the identity of a man who may have caused his wife’s death. Dominick Cherrett is a man with his own secret to keep: namely, what he, a British nobleman, is doing on American soil working as a bondsman in the home of Mayor Kendall, a Southern gentleman with his eye on a higher office.

By chance one morning before the dawn has broken, Tabitha and Dominick cross paths on a misty beachhead, leading them on a twisted path through kidnappings, death threats, public disgrace, and . . . love? Can Tabitha trust Dominick? What might he be hiding? And can either of them find true love in a world that seems set against them?

With stirring writing that puts readers directly into the story, Lady in the Mist expertly explores themes of identity, misperception, and love’s discovery.

Amazon Free Book Download: Marysville

This book looks sort of spooky… I am kind of excited to read it.

Today on Amazon you can download “Marysville” by Jared Southwick to your Kindle or PC for FREE!

Here is the description from Amazon: John Casey was ten years old when his mother was murdered…and ten when his father hid the truth from him. Without that knowledge, he has no idea of the enemies that lie in wait.

Now grown up, John lives a solitary life, in a world enslaved by ignorance and superstition, when anyone unusual is treated with distrust and even killed…and John has some very unusual gifts. When he is accused of witchcraft, John does the only thing he’s ever done—Run! That is, until he meets Jane, who lives in the bleak, imprisoned town of Marysvale. Life outside the safety of the town walls means certain death from the brutal monsters that hunt there. However, life inside, under the rule of a tyrannical leader, means no life at all.

As the love between John and Jane grows, the dangers of Marysvale unfold; and for the first time in his life, John discovers that there is something worth dying for.

I found another free book you can download to your Kindle or PC from Amazon.

Check out “Finding Grace” by Sarah Pawley.

Here is the book synopsis from Amazon: Grace is seventeen. She is bold, intelligent…and unmarried. In the eyes of her family and her mountain born neighbors, she is hopelessly willful. But she is determined to forge her own path, come what may. When her parents try to force her hand in marriage, she flees, seeking out her brother and his wife, who once watched over her. Settling down with them, she finds a new life…and possible romance with a handsome neighbor. But the past will come back to haunt her, possibly destroying the happiness she has worked so hard to find.

Free Amazon Book Download: The Brotherhood (Precinct 11)

I have to be honest… I am more of mystery reader than most of the books I have been posting.  So I was excited to find one where quite possibly someone dies in the beginning, a cop tries to figure out who did it, there is a dramatic fight scene and the good guys win in the end.  Yes, I am a stereotype.

Right now you can download The Brotherhood: Precinct 11 on Amazon for free to your PC or Kindle.

Here is the description of the book: Boone Drake has it made. He’s a young cop rising rapidly through the ranks of the Chicago Police Department. He has a beautiful wife and a young son, a nice starter house, a great partner, and a career plan that should land him in the Organized Crime Division within five years. Everything is going right. Until everything goes horribly, terribly wrong. His personal life destroyed and his career and future in jeopardy, Boone buries himself in guilt and bitterness as his life spirals out of control. But when he comes face-to-face with the most vicious gang leader Chicago has seen in decades, he begins to realize that God is a God of second chances and can change the hardest heart . . . and forgive the worst of crimes. A thought-provoking police thriller from New York Times best-selling author Jerry B. Jenkins.

Dr. Oz- 48 Hour Free Access to ConsumerLab.com

I have started watching Dr. Oz again.  Most of the time I just find it interesting but today’s show was something I really wanted to check out.

They rated vitamins- which brands are well made and will do what they are supposed to.  Because there are constantly coupons for vitamins in the paper I have always wondered if those brands are good or should I be buying some that are more expensive.

Today on the show he had someone from ConsumerLab.com- a website that shows results from different labs about the contents of vitamins on the market.  They aren’t saying which vitamins are good for what, they just check to see if vitamins have fillers, if drinks have WAY more water than they say they do etc.

If you have always wondered about your vitamins ConsumerLab.com has opened up certain portions of their site to the public for 48 hours so you can check the vitamins you use and see what is in them!

Just go through this link and take a look around yourself!  This access will end Saturday at 4 p.m. EST!
