Panera Bread Earth Day Celebration- Free Coffee Grounds for Gardening

panera bread

Panera Bread will be celebrating Earth Day this year by helping customers get a jump start on their spring gardens.  On April 22nd, select Panera Bread locations will be giving away used coffee grounds to customers to use in their gardens or compost.

This promotion is available on Wednesday, April 22nd from open until close.  To find a participating Panera Bread Bakery-Cafe in your area, visit the Panera site.  You will need to call ahead and see if your location is participating- this will NOT be nationwide.

That being said, if this is something you are interested in your location may be willing to share their used coffee grounds more than one day a year!

Barnes and Noble Kids Summer Reading Program

barnes and noble imaginations destination
Trying to find an excuse to get your kids to read over the summer?

Barnes and Noble would like to help!

Fostering a love of reading and its rewards, the Barnes & Noble Imagination’s Destination Summer Reading program is popular with students in first through sixth grades and educators throughout America.

Participation is a fun and easy way for kids to earn free books. They simply read any eight books – library books, books borrowed from friends or books bought at Barnes & Noble – write about their favorite part in our Reading Journal, and bring a completed Reading Journal to a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Children then choose their free book from the books listed on the Reading Journal and collect their free book from a store near them.

Check out the complete list of directions to make sure your child is ready to read!
