How To Load Coupons To Your Food Lion MVP Card #FoodLionDotCom

This post was compensated by Food Lion. All opinions are 100% mine.

How To Load Coupons To Your Food Lion MVP Card

Food Lion has revamped their website and made their downloadable coupons much more user friendly!  Now you can easily download coupons onto your MVP card to save some extra money at Food Lion.

Here is everything you need to know about saving with eCoupons at Food Lion!

What are eCoupons?  eCoupons are digital coupons that are loaded onto your MVP Card.  No clipping is required.  Just use your MVP card when you check out and your saved digital coupons will automatically be deducted after a qualifying purchase.

How do I load eCoupons?  Food Lion digital coupons can be loaded onto your MVP Card via your desktop computer.  Just click where it says “Load to Card.”  When the “Load to Card (+)” changes to “Loaded to Card” you know it is on your MVP card.

Food Lion Digital Coupons new

How Do I Know What Coupons I Have Loaded?  Just look up a little bit on the screen.  Next to the tab to “View Coupons” is “My Coupons.”  Click there and it will show you which ones are on your card.  You can see any size restrictions and expiration dates.  I am REALLY impressed with how long the expiration dates are- most of these are good around a month.

food lion digital coupons how do I tell

Once on the “My Coupons” page on your desktop you also have the ability to print your list.  While it is not necessary to print your coupon list to redeem offers, the option is available.

How do I redeem eCoupons?   Just scan your MVP card when you check out.   Your saved coupons will automatically be deducted from your purchase.  You must have fulfilled the redemption requirements for the coupon value to be deducted.  If your coupon states $1/2, you must purchase 2 products in a single transaction – just like paper coupons.

food lion coupon hub banner

Can eCoupons be stacked with paper manufacturer coupons?  NO! Food Lion does not allow stacking of digital and paper coupons.  Take a moment to become familiar with their coupon policy.  If you have a paper coupon valued higher than the digital coupon you need to remove the eCoupon from your card.

Can I use an eCoupon more than once?  No, eCoupons are intended for one time use and cannot be redeemed more than once per transaction.  If you load the $1/1 Tide coupon and you buy 2 containers of Tide only $1 will come off.  If the coupon is still available, it may be re-added after your transaction.

Is there a limit to the number of eCoupons I can load to my card?  No.  There is no limit to the number of coupons you can load to your MVP card.  There are quite a few available on the website.

How long are coupons available to load to my account?  I suggest loading coupons that you may want to your card as soon as you see them become available.  Many may have limited quantities.

Are Overages Allowed?  I have no idea.  This has always been a troubling area with Food Lion.  The exact wording in the Food Lion Coupon Policy is “the coupon value will be deducted from the final retail (regular or MVP) and cannot exceed the final sale price of the product.”  In some stores this means they will not accept a coupon valued at more than the item.  In some stores this means they will lower the amount of the coupon until it makes the item just free.  In any case I doubt we will see an opportunity for overage with an eCoupon.

*Please remember that with any new program, there will be glitches in the system.  Be patient with cashiers and management while all the details are being ironed out.
