HUGGIES® Saves The Day: A Lesson On Child Proofing Your House

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of HUGGIES. All opinions are 100% mine.

My two kiddos are 4 and 2 and I find that I am constantly having to move something up higher or putting it in a locked cabinet.  I thought that my child proofing stage was over with all chemicals safely locked behind cabinets, plugs in all the outlets and door knob protectors on outside doors so the kiddos can not escape outside. I thought I was ready for active babies.  Boy was I wrong.

The other day the kids were playing together rather well so I decided to quickly go put a load of laundry into the washing machine. No biggie right? WRONG! When I came back to the play room they were not there and the house was very quiet. As I walked around the house looking for them I heard giggles coming from my bedroom. In less than two minutes they had managed to get into my make-up drawer and create these faces.

[

Both kiddos were super proud of their accomplishments but as you can see on my daughters face she knows she is in trouble.

The make-up was not only all over the dresser but all over their faces, hands, and my white bedding. Thankfully I had HUGGIES® Triple Clean* Wipes in the bathroom for such a mess like this. It not only got the make-up off of my kiddos faces it also got most of it out of the bedding too.

Now that this incident has happened, I have moved my make-up to a higher and safer place. I continue to walk around the house daily with eyes peeled for anything that could potentially cause another mess such as this one.

I am sure there are more lessons to learn about child proofing especially as my kiddos continue to explore, but I am very thankful that from birth with HUGGIES® Snug & Dry Diapers to toddlers with HUGGIES® Little Movers Diapers available at Walmart, HUGGIES® has been a brand that I will continue to rely on for all of life’s messes.

Old Navy 7/20: $6 Sandals

On 7/20 ONLY, Old Navy offers all women’s sandals on sale for just $6 per pair.

I don’t anticipate this being as popular as their flip flop sale but you should still get there early!

Office Max: Duracell Batteries $.01 After Rebate

This came up at the perfect time- I just used my last batteries in my camera!

Office Max is where I prefer to buy my batteries (although sometimes I get them at the drug stores) because of their Max Perks program.

This week I will absolutely be purchasing this deal:

Buy (2) Duracell Batteries $16.99 each
Get $16.98 each back in Max Rewards
Like paying $.01 each after Max Rewards

You must purchase in store.

Below is their disclosure about MaxPerks but here is my version of it in English:

1.  Be sure you are signed up for Max Perks.  You can sign up in the store.

2.  Pick up the batteries you want to buy.  The max you can buy is two packs.  You can check the Office Max flyer for the specific types included.

3.  When you pay at check out they will be $16.99 each.

4.  In a few weeks you will get an e-mail from MaxPerks letting you know that $16.98 per pack has been deposited into your Max Perks account.  Follow the directions in that message and you can take a certificate with you to the store.  It’s basically an Office Max gift certificate for $16.98.  You can use it on almost anything in the store- since I am a couponer I would probably use it on ink for my printer!

* Member’s MaxPerks ID card must be presented at time of purchase; no Bonus Reward adjustments will be made after purchase. All Bonus Reward offers valid in store, online and/or via phone order, unless otherwise indicated. Bonus Rewards issued are based upon price actually paid by Member, as advertised price can be reduced by any applicable coupon or discount. Bonus Rewards for these offers, along with any other rewards a Member may have earned during the same period, will be issued in the next statement cycle in the form of a MaxPerks Reward Card redeemable toward future purchases at OfficeMax®. Reward Cards expire 90 days from date of issuance, except in Florida where they expire one (1) year from date of issuance.
