Amazon Free Book Download: While the World Watched

Right now you can download While the World Watched for FREE to your computer, Kindle or Smart Phone.

On September 15, 1963, a Klan-planted bomb went off in the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Fourteen-year-old Carolyn Maull was just a few feet away when the bomb exploded, killing four of her friends in the girl’s rest room she had just exited. It was one of the seminal moments in the Civil Rights movement, a sad day in American history . . . and the turning point in a young girl’s life. While the World Watched is a poignant and gripping eyewitness account of life in the Jim Crow South—from the bombings, riots and assassinations to the historic marches and triumphs that characterized the Civil Rights movement. A uniquely moving exploration of how racial relations have evolved over the past 5 decades, While the World Watched is an incredible testament to how far we’ve come and how far we have yet to go.

And as of the time of this posting you can still download The Widow of Larkspur Inn for FREE as well!

Amazon: The First Years Jet Stroller $35.92 (Lowest Price Available)

People are all excited about this deal- it looks like the lowest price around!

Right now you can get the The First Years Jet Stroller, Brown/Pink for $35.92 with FREE shipping.

It has over 500 customer reviews so it must be popular.

  • Durable frame rated for use to 50 pounds
  • Taller handles and multi-position recline
  • 5 point harness for a safer ride
  • Large parent console and lower storage basket
  • Easy one hand fold and weighs only 11 pounds

You also have 90 days to return it with no questions asked!

The First Years Jet Stroller is easier for you and more comfortable for your baby. Finally a stroller that is durable and, yes, it really will comfortably fit your little one up to 50 pounds. The wider seat base means a more comfortable ride for your child, which will keep them in their seat longer. The larger wheels (6″ diameter), all eight of them, allows your Jet stroller to glide over any surface. Worried about keeping your little one in their seat, the addition of the five point harness means your little one is securely seated. And for you, the taller handles mean no more hitting the back side of the stroller or the wheels while you go for that afternoon walk or trip to the mall. Sunny day no worries, the fully adjustable and removable (for those cloudy days) canopy means your little one will always ride in the comfort of shade. And if your little one starts to nod off during your long afternoon walk, simply use the recline feature and they can comfortably snooze while you continue on your way. The large upper storage console for you means your water bottle, your keys, your wallet and more are easy to access as you are out and about. And the underneath storage provides plenty of room for your diaper bag and any other “extras” you bring or buy along the way. And when you stop along the way, the rear wheel brakes will allow the stroller to stay in place. The Jet stroller features an easy one hand fold and weighs only 11 pounds, so it is easy to toss in your trunk in between trips.

Amazon Gold Box Deal: The West Wing Complete Series $88.99

Oh I am SOOOO tempted to grab this one for myself!  I LOVE this series.

Today on Amazon you can get The West Wing: The Complete Series Collection for $88.99.

The West Wing ventured where no other TV series had gone before: an extraordinarily intimate look at an American President and the inner workings of the White House. Experience all the crises, triumphs, lofty idealism and hard realities of the acclaimed series in this complete seven-season DVD set. Here, on 45 discs, are all 154 episodes of the series that won 26 Emmys, including 4 for Outstanding Drama Series. Hail to chief – and to the creators and stars of this ground-breaking series.

A prestigious, award-winning drama series like The West Wing deserves first-class treatment on DVD, and the Complete Series Collection really delivers the goods. Like the series itself, the packaging is first-class all the way. The entire DVD set is held in a dossier file box, with a faux-leather navy blue exterior graced with an embossed silver-foil presidential seal and a magnet-sealing flap that neatly closes the lid with no visible latches or clasps. The 45 DVDs are held in seven individually tabbed and numbered fold-out files (one for each complete season) with a pocket for each DVD and West Wing cast members pictured on each fold-out file. (In addition, the DVDs themselves are labeled with a photo of the entire primary cast.) And while the audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, gag reels, and other DVD extras remain the same from the previous individual-season DVD sets, the glossy, lavishly illustrated episode guide is exclusive to this set, and it’s a convenient one-stop source for specific episode information. Also exclusive to this set is Aaron Sorkin’s Emmy-nominated teleplay for the pilot episode, along with a new foreword by Sorkin detailing the genesis of the series from concept to casting. You can bet that Sorkin and his West Wing colleagues are pleased with the overall presentation of this full-series collection; it’s durable, impressively stately without being ostentatious (like President Jed Bartlet himself), and guaranteed to look great on any bookshelf.

Amazon Add On Deals? And Toilet Paper

With the coming changes to Rite Aid and future ones to Walgreens (look for a post soon) I was hoping changes were finished.

Nope.  Now it’s Amazon.

This morning a good price for Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Toilet Paper Big Roll, 12 Count popped up.  $6 for that pack isn’t bad- especially if you aren’t an avid couponer.

As I am looking at the deal to post it- I notice this little gem in the corner:

Welcome to Amazon’s new program- Add Ons.

Basically what it means is “Great!  We want you to buy this.  But you know how you get FREE shipping when you spend $25 or more?  Yeah, this doesn’t count toward your $25.”

In this case I am sure the expense of shipping toilet paper is high enough that they have done this to off set the cost.  But I am hoping I don’t see this pop up too often- I like my $25 rule!

Remember this is Amazon- prices can change in the blink of an eye!

Amazon: PopChips and Coconut Water Deals of the Day

I LOVE barbecue flavored Pop Chips.

And they are STUPID expensive in our local stores so I always buy them on Amazon.

Today Pop Chips and Coconut Water are the Gold Box Deals of the Day on Amazon so I will probably be buying some!

If you have never tried them they are potato chips that are popped like popcorn- they are lighter, have less fat and (I think) taste great!

And it looks like for some of the packages when you check out you also receive a FREE SAMPLE of Kind Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt bar when you purchase this product.

There are lots of different packages available but these are the ones I like the best:

Popchips, Barbeque, 3-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12) $17.99

Popchips 6-Flavor Variety Pack, 0.8-Ounce Single Serve Bags (Pack of 24) $12.99
