Locals: Discounted Tickets to Colonial Williamsburg

One of the coolest things about living where I live is the access to Colonial Williamsburg.  Along with it’s historical significance it has beautiful decorations during the holidays.

Today on Living Social you can get a discount on tickets for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.  Experience a holiday the likes of which inspired our much-loved Christmas canon with today’s deal for Colonial Williamsburg: $18 (regularly $38) for an adult or $9 (regularly $19) for a child’s admission ticket. Come Upon a Midnight Clear (or morning or afternoon) to experience firelit gardens or the 16-foot-high Christmas tree with 1,000 ornaments in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum.  Or, listen in wonder as costumed tour guides proclaim Joy to World through festive streets, trade shops, and 18th century homes. This historic sanctuary reveals the origins of America’s holiday past for an unforgettable Christmas present. Give your loved ones something to really sing about this holiday season before this deal, like those bygone days, is history.

( I love the way they write on Living Social.)

If you have relatives coming into town and were already planning the trip grab your tickets discounted!

Rayovac Lanterns and Flashlights Sale

I know this is sort of an odd sale to post during the holidays as few people on your shopping list probably requested lanterns or flashlights.

However I live in a part of the country where we have the occasional hurricane and these items can be quite difficult to locate.  So instead of rushing out to the store and fighting the crowds at the last minute I would love to be one of those people who is prepared ahead of time.  And this sale can help me with that process.

Everything in this sale is available with FREE Super Saver Shipping.

Here are a few of the items included:

Rayovac SP8D Black Sportsman 8D Area Lantern with Twin Fluorescent Bulbs $22.99

Remington RMBT3AAA-B Extreme Track Blood Tracker Flashlight $13.99

Remington RMCLPBT-B Blood Tracker LED Hat Clip Light $8.99

Check out the complete list of items included in the sale and see if something is the right fit for your home!

Locals: The Spa at Kingsmill- Williamsburg

I don’t post very many local deals but this is one I don’t want you to miss if you are looking for a great deal on being pampered.

The Spa at Kingsmill is a beautiful place with a relaxing atmosphere and VERY steep prices (when you get there you will understand why).   It is one of the nicest places I have ever been.

Today the Groupon for Hampton Roads is for $65, you get a 50-minute massage sampler (a $110 value) plus a foot scrub (a $20 value) at The Spa at Kingsmill in Williamsburg (a $130 total value).  Plus if you book another service after your Groupon appointment you get 25% off that next appointment!

The Spa at Kingsmill sequesters guests in a cottage near the James River for a luxurious enhancement of a Swedish massage. After drizzling skin in calming sunflower, aloe, and avocado oil , a therapist sends waves of relaxation rolling through tense shoulders with the long, fluid strokes of Swedish massage. Strategically placed hot stones and warm compresses radiate healing heat, as aromatherapeutic essential oils diffuse through the room and dispel anxiety. Reflexology therapy gently stimulates the soles of feet, which reap restorative benefits that resonate throughout the body. To conclude the 50-minute sojourn, nimble hands buff calluses and dry skin from tootsies with a chocolate scrub scented with a hint of raspberry.

When guests redeem their Groupon, they may book additional services with a 25% discount.

Already wishing you were there?  Get your Groupon for The Spa at Kingsmill in Williamsburg.
