Get a 7″ Kindle Fire HD for $169.99 Shipped

My Kindle Fire is probably the best investment I have made in the last two years.  I absolutely love it and use it every single day.

Today on Groupon you can grab a 7″ Kindle Fire HD for $169.99 shipped.

The Fine Print

  • Limit 3 per person, may buy 2 more as gifts. Free returns. Free shipping. Does not ship to AK/HI/Canada/Puerto Rico. Most orders are delivered within 2 1/2 weeks of the purchase date. Does not ship to PO boxes.

Kindle Fire HD with 7 inch Display, 16GB Memory, and Special Offers

The Kindle Fire HD combines the crisp, clear text of an e-reader with the powerful dual-core processor of a tablet. It’s all displayed on a 7? HD LCD display, which features anti-glare technology and an advanced polarizing filter for more viewing angles. That means the screen looks good even if you’re watching a movie beneath overhead lighting or reading at an odd angle in bed. The compact tablet’s Dolby Digital Plus audio and dual-driver stereo speakers deliver thudding bass and fuller sound without distortion.

To help eliminate endless video buffering and snail-paced downloads, the Kindle Fire HD features dual-band, dual-antenna WiFi, which allows it to stream media more than 35% faster than the iPad mini . The battery lasts more than 11 hours so you can browse the Internet, read books, or watch movies without hovering around a nuclear power plant. The Kindle Fire HD is also compatible with optional Amazon services such as Amazon Prime—which includes a Kindle Owner’s Lending Library and Prime Instant Video—as well as more than 1.2 million books and magazines.

  • 1280×800 HD display
  • Polarizing filter and anti-glare technology
  • Dolby audio and dual-driver stereo speakers
  • Dual-band, dual-antenna WiFi
  • Front-facing HD camera
  • Features include email, web, photo gallery, X-Ray, Read-to-Me
  • Lock screen displays special offers and sponsored screen savers
  • Condition: new
  • One-year warranty from Amazon

“Into The Woods”- Opening Next Week!

See anyone you know?

In case you missed my announcement last month I am involved in a local production of “Into The Woods.”    We open in just over a week so I am up to my eye balls in rehearsals.

into the woods tounge

We do occasionally take breaks to have fun though (and yes that is me with no make up and my hair not done).

If you are looking for some good live theater this summer you should come and check us out.

An Ambivalent Cinderella?  A Blood-Thirsty Little Red Ridinghood?  A Prince Charming with a Roving Eye?  A Witch…Who Raps?

They’re all among the cockeyed characters in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s fractured fairy tale.

When a Baker and his Wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects (a cow as white as milk…a cape as red as blood…hair as yellow as corn…a slipper as pure as gold…) required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella (with the slipper as pure as gold) Little Red Ridinghood (with a cape as red as blood) Rapunzel (with the hair as yellow as corn) and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk – with the cow as white as milk).

Everyone’s wish is granted at the end of Act One but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results.

A Giant (A female Giant, that is) steps down from the heavens and straight upon some beloved characters. It takes a few lives before the survivors realize that they have to act altogether in order to succeed.

Thus, what begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

The show is about Fairy Tales but it’s a bit more Grimm then Disney so we are recommending kids 9 and over.  I am playing the character of Jack’s Mom- I have a giant beanstalk growing in my back yard and a hen who lays golden eggs!

into the woods chicken

I also wanted to introduce you to my son Jack, played by the amazing Dan McGary.  He is FANTASTIC to act with and we have a great time together.  Generally he is happier than that- someone was threatening to take his hen!

I will keep the deals coming but if it takes me a bit longer to get back to you with e-mails and such this is why.  The show must go on!
