May and June Coupon Class Availability

Thank you so much those who have been patiently waiting for coupon class availability for the next two months.  I have been waiting to hear back from an audition for a local theater production and am happy to announce I have been cast.

(More to come on that.)

Meanwhile I will be in rehearsals OFTEN so it is going to limit the time I have to teach.

I should still be available during the day so if you are interested in doing one on one tutoring or a group during the day e-mail me and we can figure out a date and time.

The classes take roughly 2 hours and as long as there are 6 or more people, the cost is $10 per person.  If less than 6 attend the host is expected to make up the financial difference.  I can teach at a kitchen table or in front of 100 people in a lecture hall.   I have taught classes for MOPS groups, military associates, fraternal groups and congregations.

So here is my availability for the next two months (please note these are days I am able to book a class- these are not scheduled classes):

May- 18th (depending on location), 20th (depending on location), 22nd and 25th (depending on location)

June- 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th and 15th (depending on location)

If you are interested in one of these dates please message me and we can get everything figured out!

My Life In February (Coupon Class Update)

For those of you who have been waiting for February coupon class availability thanks for your patience.

This past weekend I had an audition for the Virginia Musical Theater’s production of Oliver!, which will be at the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach the first weekend in March.

I was astonished to be selected to be in the show and am VERY excited.

The rehearsal process for this show will be very intense- rehearsals are generally 6 days a week and lengthy.

As a result I will be unable to teach coupon classes in the evenings/weekends for the entire month.  It is already enough of a struggle to balance my schedule with teaching but trying to work around rehearsals will be completely impossible.

If you were planning on trying to book a class during the month I would REALLY encourage you to try to get to the FREE coupon class in Virginia Beach on February 2nd.

This will most likely be the only class I teach on a weekend or week night for the entire month of February.

I am trying to get my schedule straight for March (I have plans to audition for another show) and will get any dates I might be available up as soon as possible.

Overheard In A Coupon Class: Week 5

Welcome to my new 2012 Series “Overheard in a Coupon Class“. Each week post about a commonly asked question, joke or funny story from my coupon classes. And I have TONS of material!

What about big box stores?

People ask me all the time what I think about Sam’s Club, Costco and BJs.  I think if you have a large family they are a great asset.  But they aren’t necessary and they don’t always give you the best deals.

One of my best blogging buddies has 7 kids and they do not use big box stores.  They have learned to shop the drug stores and grocery stores and stock up.

Between Zaycon Foods, shopping properly and meal planning I don’t think that the big stores are that useful.  I am not going to say they are never good for anyone but for the vast majority of people probably don’t need to pay an extra fee every year just to shop.

However if you still decide to shop, did you know that BJ’s accepts manufacturer’s coupons?  And they will allow you to coupon stack with their store coupons as well.  This can lead to some big savings.

So if you want a big box store, I recommend BJ’s.

So what do you think?  Do the big box stores save you money?

Overheard In A Coupon Class Week 4

Welcome to my new 2012 Series “Overheard in a Coupon Class“. Each week post about a commonly asked question, joke or funny story from my coupon classes. And I have TONS of material!

What’s a couponing e-mail address?  I see you mention it on your site all the time.

One of the biggest challenges of couponing is trying to keep your couponing information all in one place.  One way you can keep all your couponing stuff seperate from all your personal stuff is by creating a new e-mail address.  This way when you sign up for newsletters and samples all that information goes to one place.

Whichever type of e-mail you already use (aol, yahoo, gmail) just build yourself a new e-mail.  You could do something simple like couponinglaura@whatever so that you never confuse it with your regular e-mail.

By keeping everything in two different places you can keep your life and your couponing seperate!
