I Went Crazy At Bloom Today

In my town we have a lovely chain of grocery stores called “Bloom.”  They are designed to be a nicer version of Food Lion and they did not do well.  So they are all converting BACK to Food Lion.

However they need to clear out some of their products that they will no longer carry.  My mom got a tip that they had started their sales so I went this morning after I finished a coupon tutoring session.  The prices were unbelievable and I got all products I already use!

Here was my haul:

6 Cans of Black Beans (15.25 oz)

4 Cans of Pineapple Chunks (8 oz)

5 jars of Pasta Sauce (45 oz)

5 boxes of Ziti (16 oz)

4 boxes of Rice Dream Rice Milk (32 oz)

8 bags of Stir Fry Frozen Vegetables (6 oz)

3 bags of Frozen Whole Baby Carrots (16 oz)

4 bags of Hand Made Style Corn Tortillas (11.57 oz)

4 bags of Wide Egg Noodles (16 oz)

3 bags of Restaurant Style White Corn Tortilla Chips (12 oz)

3 boxes of frozen spinach (10 oz)

Final Price: $42.60

I should be set on food for the next little bit with my freezer full of chicken and ground beef to supplement these items!

Bloom Super Double Shopping Trip 2/4

So this morning I made a quick trip to Bloom to grab one of my favorite foods on earth- fruit.

And I bought ALOT of fruit.  When I was at a coupon swap a few weeks ago I managed to get 10 coupons for the Dole Fruit Bowls.  They are stored in 100% juice and are so good.  So I have been waiting.  Just waiting for the right sale at the right time.  And it happened today.

Todays trip was pretty simple:

20 4-pk Dole’s Fruit Cups $2.50
Sale Price: $2.00
Used 10 $1/2 Dole Fruit Cup Coupons (1/8/12 Smart Source Insert)
Final Price:$1.00 each

8 Knorrs Rice or Pasta Side Dishes $1.29
Sale Price: $1.00
Used 4 $.50/2 Knorr Products Coupon (1/29 Red Plum Insert)
Final Price: $.50 each

Price before sales and coupons: $60.32
Price after sales: $48.00
Price after coupons: $24.00 (not including tax)

It may look like a lot of fruit cups but trust me- they will get eaten.  And the shelves still had plenty left so I was able to get all the ones I wanted and still leave them for others!

4 Sierra Mist 2L

2 single pack Tic Tacs

2 boxes Betty Crocker Muffin Mix (with $.75 coupons in the box!)
