Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Photokey (Money Saving For Some People!)

The Photokey was given to me by Busch Gardens to try. All opinions are 100% mine.

Last year at Busch Gardens Williamsburg I was given the opportunity to check out their new Photokey [2] program.   There were a few hiccups while they were getting it off the ground so I waited until I was sure how amazing it was to tell you about it.

I’m now convinced how amazing it is.

This isn’t a product that is going to be for everyone but for some of you it could be a BIG moneysaver.

Here is how Photokey [1] works:

While you are visiting the park stop at any of the locations where the photographers take pictures.  Or any of the roller coasters with the automatic pictures.  (Yep that is me on Verbolten with my eyes closed.)

Give them your Photokey card and they will upload your photos to it.  It takes a few minutes to make sure it’s on  the card.

Grab any and all pictures through the park and then head home.  Pictures taken by the in-park photo team will be linked to your account.

You can instantly view and share all of your photos using the PhotoKey app for Android and iPhone while you are in the park.  Or when you get home pull up the Photokey website and look at them there.  You can then order prints (which you have to pay for) or download them to your computer (which is included in your original purchase) and post on social media etc.

How Much Does It Cost?

Here are your three options with the Photokey card (once the park reopens prices will be listed):

A one day Photokey card

An Annual Photokey card pass is

An Annual Photokey card pass for Membership

Is It a Deal?

If you purchase pictures in the park they are going to cost you atleast $25 depending on what you get.  If it’s someone’s first ride on a roller coaster or first visit to the park there might be moments you want to capture.  And there are also those moments with Santa at Christmas Town.

I don’t think deal is for everyone but for some who have grandparents who like to spend money on pictures or if you always regret not having them this could be a chance to check them out.

And don’t forget to check out the Busch Gardens Williamsburg Coupons [3]!
