Going Old School: Historic Housing

Because Busch Gardens is located so close to Colonial Williamsburg there are some amazing historic buildings you can stay in and around.

One of the highest rated hotels in the area is consistently a bed and breakfast: the Brick House Inn [7].  It’s tiny but if you are coming to visit the park as a couple it might be romantic.  The Brick House Inn was built during the Williamsburg restoration in 1932 and has some of the wood trim from the original colonial houses. The flooring is from the original Capitol and the windows from other historic buildings.  This house is very unique and is furnished with antique furniture throughout the home.

The Colonial Gardens Bed & Breakfast [8] also has incredible ratings on almost every travel site.  Busch Gardens is only a five minute drive.

Another fun option could be to stay in one of the historic homes or taverns in Colonial Williamsburg [9].  There are 27 different options ranging in size from a twin bed to renting  a whole house with several rooms.

Traditional Hotels

Doubletree by Hilton Williamsburg [10] is less than one mile from the park.  It’s the closest hotel to the park.

Quality Inn at Kingsmill/Busch Gardens Area [11] is just over a mile away.

Courtyard by Marriott/Busch Gardens Area  [12] is 1.25 miles away.

Kingsmill Resort [13] is 1.4 miles away.  As a local I believe this is the NICEST hotel in the area.  It’s also going to be one of the most expensive hotels in the area.  They have a golf course the LPGA tour plays on.  I have personally visited the spa and it’s SPECTACULAR.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Williamsburg [14]is 5.52 miles away.
