Trying to find an excuse to get your kids to read over the summer?

Barnes and Noble would like to help!

Fostering a love of reading and its rewards, the Barnes & Noble Imagination’s Destination Summer Reading program is popular with students in first through sixth grades and educators throughout America.

Participation is a fun and easy way for kids to earn free books. They simply read any eight books – library books, books borrowed from friends or books bought at Barnes & Noble – write about their favorite part in our Reading Journal, and bring a completed Reading Journal to a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Children then choose their free book from the books listed on the Reading Journal and collect their free book from a store near them.

This year, our Imagination’s Destination theme features the exciting new Scholastic Discover More nonfiction series, along with two special promotions to encourage young readers to explore their imaginations all summer long!

Check out the complete list of directions to make sure your child is ready to read!
